Chili-Lemon-Lime Marinade

Servings: 2 Cups

Ingredients

  • 5 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 or more jalapeno peppers seeded and minced (or leave some seeds in for heat)
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/4 cup red onion minced
  • 5 – 6 sprigs fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Instructions

  • Combine first 6 ingredients and mash together with the back side of a large spoon. Add remaining ingredients except oil and mix well. Add oil to mixture while stirring.
