Avocado Citrus Salsa
We love avocados in California. And for good reason since I believe they are freshest and taste the best from our neck of the woods. Spoon this salsa over just-cooked fish. For variety, toss in some chopped dry roasted nuts.
Avocado Citrus Salsa
Servings: 1 3/4 cups salsa
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup orange segments
- 1/2 cup grapefruit segments
- 3/4 cup avocado - peeled seeded and cut in 1/2 in cubes
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- pinch sugar
- 1/4 cup red onion minced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil or cilantro leaves
- 1 pinch red pepper flakes
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Gently toss all ingredients. Let stand at room temperature for 20 minutes before serving.
