You’ve got to love it when you stumble upon a recipe that only needs a handful of ingredients, is simple to prepare and, best, tastes great.
Chances are good that you won’t bother with a three-page recipe with a long list of obscure ingredients that you can’t even pronounce.
Here are some easy sauces that’ll get you in and out of the kitchen at warp speed.

- ⅔ cup red currant jelly
- ⅓ cup Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients, and mix well.
Orange-Ginger Sauce
A little sweet, a little sour and just salty enough.

- ⅓ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp pickled ginger, minced

Apricot-Horseradish Sauce
Several years ago, someone described this sauce to me, and it sounded a little goofy, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
I made a few mental notes, which are often unreliable, and came up with this sauce.

- ½ cup prepared horseradish
- ½ cup apricot preserves
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Combine ingredients, and spoon over grilled venison a few minutes before removing from heat.
