Cilantro Jalapeno Compound Butter

This cilantro jalapeno compound butter recipe is from our Sporting Friend, Susie Jimenez, who was the runner-up on Season 7 of “Food Network Star.” Everything Susie touches has a spicy twist to it, which you can dial up, or down.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound butter
  • 1 jalapeno pepper
  • 1 lemon zest and juice
  • 1 cup cilantro
  • parchment paper

Instructions

  • Temper your butter by placing it at room temperature until it softens.
  • In a food processor add one jalapeno, 1 lemon zest and juice and 1 cup cilantro until it becomes a paste. Add the butter until it’s well combined.
  • Roll it onto parchment paper and tie the ends or freeze it in an ice cube tray. Use as you need.
